DANCERS

Dancing en pointe is a goal that many young dancers strive for but it can be very demanding on the feet, ankles and lower legs. Approximately 40-60% of injuries in dancers occur to the foot or ankle!en pointe

Before dancers progress to en pointe they should be properly examined by a podiatrist to ensure they have the required strength, control and that the correct technique is maintained throughout the transition.

Our pre pointe assessments include:

  • Pressure sensored video gait analysis
  • Assessing posture, range of motion, strength and flexibility of the feet, ankles and legs
  • Assessing skeletal maturity, core/pelvic stability
  • Looking at the pointe and turnout
  • X-ray imaging
  • Tailored care plan

We aim to help you achieve all the wellbeing and lifestyle benefits that come with healthy, happy feet
